On December 8, 2020, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) General Meeting was held in Moscow.

Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Chairman of RIAC Board of Trustees, made an opening speech. The Russian Foreign Minister underscored the strong relationship between the Ministry and the Council. The text of the speech is published on the MFA of Russia and RIAC websites.

Igor Ivanov, RIAC President, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (1998–2004), summed up the work of the Council in 2020. Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, presented the main areas of RIAC work for the following year.

In the course of further discussion the participants made a number of proposals for the development of RIAC project work in 2021.

The Decision of the General Meeting approved RIAC 2020 Annual Report, RIAC membership rules and regulations, RIAC 2020 budget, financial and accounting statements.
