On December 2, 2019, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) welcomed a delegation from the Institute of East European, Russian and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences led by Sun Zhuangzhi, IEERCAS CASS Director.

From the Russian side, the meeting was attended by Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, Sergey Luzyanin, Director of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IFES RAS), Ivan Timofeev, RIAC Director of Programs, Vladimir Petrovsky, IFES RAS Chief Research Fellow, Andrey Karneev, Head of the School of Oriental Studies of the Higher School of Economics (HSE), Yury Kulintsev, IFES RAS Research Fellow, Ksenia Kuzmina, RIAC Program Manager and Alevtina Larionova, RIAC Program Coordinator.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation plans for 2020, including the organization of the Sixth International Conference “Russia and China: Cooperation in a New Era,” as well as the current state and topical issues of the development of Russian-Chinese relations.
