On January 18, 2021, RIAC took part in the fifth and final Track II international expert online discussion on the challenges and prospects of relations between Russia and NATO, initiated by the European Leadership Network (ELN).

On January 18, 2021, RIAC took part in the fifth and final Track II international expert online discussion on the challenges and prospects of relations between Russia and NATO, initiated by the European Leadership Network (ELN).

Experts from Russia and the EU, former politicians and diplomats took part in the discussion. Russia was represented by Evgeny Buzhinsky, RIAC Vice-President; Andrey Kortunov, RIAC General Director; Sergey Rogov, Academic Director of RAS Institute for the U.S. and Canadian Studies (ISKRAN), RIAC Member; Natalya Vyakhireva, RIAC Program Manager; Igor Istomin, Associate Professor, Department of Applied International Political Analysis, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University); and Oleg Shakirov, RIAC Expert, Senior Expert at the Center for Advanced Governance, Consultant, PIR Center.

The participants summarized the results of the group's work over the six months of its existence, presented practical proposals for resuming the Russia-NATO dialog, and outlined possible priorities for work in the context of preparations for the upcoming 2021 NATO summit.
