On December, 7, 2020, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) organized the online presentation of the book “Syria. The Tragedy of a Pivotal State” authored by Ambassador Rajendra M. Abhyankar; followed by discussion on the situation in Syria. Speakers of the meeting discussed the history of the conflict, regional and global implications as well as the current dynamics around it, paying a special attention to the issues of Syrian settlement, role of external actors in the reconstruction process, COVID-19 pandemic situation influencing the economy.
