On October 1–5, 2018, International School of Eurasian Integration was held to focus on ”Eurasian Economic Union: Shaping the Outline of the Future”. The school was organized by Russian International Affairs Council, Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), and the Eurasian Development Bank.
On October 1–5, 2018, International School of Eurasian Integration was held to focus on ”Eurasian Economic Union: Shaping the Outline of the Future”. The school was organized by Russian International Affairs Council, Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund, Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), and the Eurasian Development Bank.
The rich educational program included meetings with departments and organizations involved in the development of Eurasian economic integration. Tatyana Valovaya, Member of the Board (Minister) on the Main Areas of Integration and Macroeconomics, addressed the participants, outlining the main areas of development in the EAEU space. Participants visited Russian Export Center and got to know about existing export support programs in Russia. In the course of the meeting with Alexander Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the participants learned about the vision of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs upon integration issues.
The school program also included open discussions with experts on various topics: supranational principle, EAEU for business and for citizens, and phenomenon of “Greater Eurasia”. This format allowed to discuss most acute and complex issues Eurasian integration is facing today.
One of the most important elements of the School was the development of educational modules on Eurasian integration. Three groups of participants were to create projects of educational courses that could be included into curricula for various audiences.
