On June 17–18, 2019, Helsinki hosted a meeting of the Crisis Management Dialogue Working Group of the Euro-Atlantic Security Leadership Group (EASLG). Diplomats, public figures, and experts from Europe and the United States discussed the prospects for creating new tools to reduce the risks of escalating crisis situations in the Euro-Atlantic, as well as the possibilities for using the existing mechanisms (OSCE Structured Dialogue, NATO-Russia Council, bilateral Russian-American consultations, etc.).

The previous meeting of the subgroup was held in October 2018. Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Sergey Utkin, RIAC Expert, Head of the Strategic Assessment Section at the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations, took part in the discussion from the Russian side.
