On May 24, 2023, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) hosted a closed meeting of the Council's leadership and experts with representatives of China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR).
The participants of the meeting focused on the consequences of global changes affecting the transformation of the world order, and also agreed to work together on international issues of mutual interest, including the prospects for Russian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation in the new conditions.

The event was attended by Ivan Timofeev, RIAC Director General; Dr. Zhang Jian, Research Professor, Assistant President of China Institute of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) and concurrently Director of the CICIR Institute of European Studies; Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Academic Director; Dr. Ni Jianjun, Executive Director of Institute of World Economic Studies, CICIR; Andrey Karneev, Head of the School of Oriental Studies, Higher School of Economics; Dr. SHANG Yue, Deputy Director and Associate Research Professor of Institute of Eurasian Studies; Yuriy Kulintsev, Deputy Director of the RAS Institute of China and Contemporary Asia; and Han Yichen, Research Fellow at the Institute of Eurasia, CICIR.
