On February 25, 2015, in Moscow, Ambassador Joon-kook Hwang, South Korean Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security, accompanied by staffers of South Korean Foreign Ministry and Embassy in Moscow, had his second meeting with RIAC’s members and experts. Their first discussion took place on June 17, 2014.

The Russian team included RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, former Russian Ambassador to South Korea Gleb Ivashentsov, former Russian Ambassador to North Korea Valery Sukhinin and Alexander Zhebin, Head of the Center for Korean Studies at RAS Institute for Far Eastern Studies.
The debate focused on the inter-Korean relations, security and nonproliferation in the Korean Peninsula, approaches of great powers to Korean settlement, and the impact of global changes on situation in Northeast Asia.
