On September 26–29, 2022, the international forum “RCD Forum 2022: The World is Changing” was held in Baghdad, Iraq. The event was organized by Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue, Baghdad-based think-tank. The goal of the meeting was to discuss the main problems of contemporary world. More than a thousand public and political figures, scientists, experts, and journalists from Iraq, the Middle East and the whole world attended the RCD Forum 2022. In total, representatives of 33 countries took part in the meeting.

The RCD Forum 2022 included a series of workshops, as well as several panel discussions on key regional and global trends. In particular, there were discussions on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine military conflict on the global economy and international security. In addition, the participants discussed the problems of food security, global trends in the energy sector, as well as environmental challenges. A special attention was paid to instable countries of the Middle East and North Africa. In particular, there were discussions on the political crisis in Libya and the problem of Afghanistan, as well as the impact of situations in these countries on the region.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Iraq Elbrus Kutrashev took part in the forum. Program Coordinator at the RIAC Pyotr Kortunov and Program Assistant at the RIAC Ivan Bocharov also attended the meeting.
