RIAC Hosts Situation Analysis “Economic Potential of Russia-China Cooperation: Opportunities and Limitations”

On March 18, 2024, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) hosted a situation analysis themed “Economic Potential of Russia-China Cooperation: Opportunities and Limitations.” The experts shared their opinions on the current level of economic partnership between the two countries and projected how it could develop further as international economic relations are being reformatted. It was the second in a series of expert meetings aimed at elaborating Russia’s perspective on engagement with China.
The speakers included Igor Ivanov, RIAC President; Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Academic Director; Leonid Grigoryev, Academic Supervisor at the School of World Economy, HSE University; Ivan Danilin, Head of the Science and Innovation Department at IMEMO RAS; Artem Pylin, Head of the Sector of Bilateral Ties between Russia and Neighboring States at RAS Institute of Economics; Vladimir Likhachev, Deputy Director of the Centre for Sustainable Infrastructure Development Research, Institute of Economics and Utility Regulation, HSE University; Sergey Tsyplakov, Professor at the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics, HSE University; and Sergey Lukonin, Head of the Sector of Economy and Politics of China at RAS Center for Asia Pacific Studies. Yulia Melnikova, RIAC Program Manager, moderated the event.
