On December 20, 2013 Yuri Vladimirovich Dubinin died.

Prominent Soviet/Russian diplomat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Professor at MGIMO-University, member of the Council on Foreign and Defense policy, Executive President of the Association of Friends of France, he was always committed and passionate about his work and participated in the events organized by different companies that invited him as a highly qualified professional and an interesting speaker.

His cooperation with the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) started in 2011, and the Council has become one of the last places of his professional activities. Yuri Vladimirovich actively participated in many of the Council’s events: discussion sessions, club meetings and conferences. As a teacher and mentor for many international relations experts, he was keenly supporting RIAC educational projects.

Today we especially appreciate his high appraisal of our activities, which he shared with us in his interview for RIAC only a few weeks ago. It is always difficult to say good-bye to people like Yuri Dubinin. But his memory will live on. Here are the few materials Yuri Vladimirovich prepared in cooperation with the RIAC.
