On September 14, 2020, Russian International Affairs Council together with the Delegation of the European Union to the Russian Federation, held the 3rd online workshop to discuss possible scenarios for Russia-the EU relations by 2030.
The workshop was part of the initiative on creating an EU-Russia expert network aimed at strengthening long-term cooperation between Russia and the EU. The first and second workshops on scenarios were held in February and June 2020.

As part of the online workshop, a scenario report on possible scenarios for Russia-EU relations was presented.
The report was commented by Markus Ederer, Ambassador of the European Union to the Russian Federation; Igor Ivanov, RIAC President; and Dmitry Balakin, Deputy Director of the Department of European Cooperation, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who expressed his ideas on the content of the report. Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, also addressed the meeting.
The meeting was attended by experts from Russia and the EU, permanent members of the group.
The seminar was moderated by Sabine Fischer, Senior Fellow, German Institute for International and Security Affairs (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik), and Ivan Timofeev, RIAC Director of Programs. Natalya Vyakhireva, RIAC Program Manager, also took part in the meeting.
