Nowadays we are witnessing the relations between Germany and Russia being revised. Does the partnership idea work for purposes of modernization? Will Russia indeed be shifting towards Asia Pacific? Is there any margin left for growth in Russian-German relations? The project, “Russian-German Relations in 2030: four scenarios”, to be presented on 31 October 2013, comes under the sponsorship of Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the leader of the SPD faction in the German Bundestag, and Igor Ivanov, President of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC).

The project, “Russian-German Relations in 2030: four scenarios”, to be presented on 31 October 2013, comes under the sponsorship of Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the leader of the SPD faction in the German Bundestag, and Igor Ivanov, President of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC). The project team of ten Russian and ten German experts has prepared four probable scenarios of the development of Russian-German relations, taking into consideration the current global trends.

During the meeting, the members of expert team will present their four scenarios in Russian which later on will be commented by Russian and German politicians, experts and representatives of international business. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion.

The presentation will take place in Moscow on October 31, 2013 at 6 p.m. at the Hotel Baltschug Kempinski (Atrium Hall).

The presentation will be in Russian and German, with simultaneous interpretation provided.
