On June 6–8, 2019, Bratislava is hosting 14th edition of GLOBSEC 2019, an annual international forum on security issues.
The forum gathered experts, politicians, businessmen, and public figures from more than sixty countries. The discussions focus on the challenges of overcoming the current regional and global instability, increasing the manageability of the international system.

The forum gathered experts, politicians, businessmen, and public figures from more than sixty countries. The discussions focus on the challenges of overcoming the current regional and global instability, increasing the manageability of the international system.
On June 6, a closed session, dedicated to the launch of Cooperative Security Initiative, a new multilateral project, was held as part of the forum. The project is aimed at finding new and improving the old mechanisms of multilateral diplomacy in Europe and preparing relevant proposals for pan-European organizations. The session was addressed by Thomas Greminger, Secretary-General, OSCE; representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia, the country holding chairmanship in the OSCE in 2019; diplomats and representatives of expert and analytical community. Russia was represented by Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, who made a speech at the session.
