On March 23, 2022, Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), visited Russian International Affairs Council.

The discussion focused on the following issues: providing international humanitarian assistance to the needy residents of Ukraine, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, the organization and uninterrupted functioning of humanitarian corridors, as well as modalities for reaching an agreement on a ceasefire and a peaceful settlement of the conflict. The meeting was attended by ICRC’s Moscow delegation staff.
