On June 9, 2021, the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and the Estonian University of Tartu held an international workshop on threat perceptions as a factor influencing the state and dynamics of relations between Russia and the West.
The discussion focused on the preliminary results of empirical studies carried out in Russia in a number of Western countries, as well as the theoretical foundations for analyzing some specific dimensions of threat perceptions. Russia was represented at the event by Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Ekaterina Chimiris, RIAC Expert, Head of the Center for Social and Political Studies, Institute for Integration Development Research Russian Foreign Trade Academy Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Associate Professor of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
