The policy brief was prepared by RIAC in cooperation with the Armenian think tank ARDI Lab.
The presentation made by the authors of the policy brief Leonid Nersisyan, Varuzhan Geghamyan, and Sergey Melkonyan briefly outlined the main problematic issues raised in the text: potential resources of Russia-Armenia cooperation in security, options for reforming the CSTO, and Armenia’s role as a link between the EU and EAEU.
Alexander Krylov, Chief Researcher at IMEMO RAS, President of the Society of Caucasian Studies Experts, stressed out the absence of problems in military-political cooperation between Moscow and Yerevan, which, in turn, leads to further progress in this direction. Dmitry Sidorov, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Theory and History of International Relations, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, praised the report, noting its relevance and timeliness.
The event finished with a Q&A session, mainly related to further prospects for security cooperation between the parties, as well as the impact on regional relations.
On the evening of the same day, the policy brief was presented at MGIMO Institute of International Studies, where it also received positive feedback.
