On February 18, 2019, Russian International Affairs Council held a seminar "Armed Conflict Resolution in the XXI Century". Robert Malley, International Crisis Group President, Obama administration Special Assistant, Senior Adviser to the President for the U.S. for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region (2014–2017), was a special guest speaker.

On February 18, 2019, Russian International Affairs Council held a seminar "Armed Conflict Resolution in the XXI Century". Robert Malley, International Crisis Group President, Obama administration Special Assistant, Senior Adviser to the President for the U.S. for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region (2014–2017), was a special guest speaker.

The seminar discussed possible ways to resolve international crises, the role of international organizations, as well as minimizing the risks of armed conflicts.

Olga Oliker, Program Director for Europe and Central Asia, also made a speech on the part of the International Crisis Group. The meeting was attended by Russian experts in international law, journalists, and students.

Ivan Timofeev, RIAC Director of Programs, moderated the meeting.
