On September 18, 2018, RIAC held a closed round table «Towards MED 2018 — Syria, Libya and Yemen: the MENA Crises' Outcome» in cooperation with the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI), and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.
The roundtable was held as part of the preparation for the Fourth Annual Conference "Mediterranean Dialogues" at the highest level (MED) with the participation of the heads of state and government of the Mediterranean countries, representatives of business, science, civil society, and the media. This year the conference will be held in Rome on November 22–24.

The program of MED conference in Rome will be strengthened by the results of preliminary discussions at RIAC closed round table with the participation of experts, representatives of the academic community, and non-governmental organizations from Russia, Italy, Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom. The round table discussed the issues of modern security architecture in the region of the Middle East and North Africa.
Regional scenarios were presented and analyzed at the round table in order to develop recommendations for crisis management in Syria, Libya, and Yemen involving all concerned parties for constructive interaction.
