On June 27, 2024, HSE University hosted a research workshop “Political Dynamics in the Middle East: Clashes of Interests and Escalation Risks”. In the framework of the meeting, participants discussed a wide range of regional problems. In particular, experts discussed key risks and threats to security in the Middle East, the policies of global powers, and the potential contours of the regional security architecture. Participants also discussed the current state of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, as well as the risks of the escalation, especially on the Israel-Lebanon border.
