On January 18, 2022, a closed online seminar dedicated to the role of the UN in Libya was held. The meeting was organized by the New York Office to the United Nations, and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. The goal of the seminar was to discuss the prospects for extending the mandate of the UN Support Mission to Libya, as well as the need to change the format of the work of the Mission. During the meeting, experts also discussed the prospects for holding presidential elections in Libya.
