According to the study, Russia ranks 7th among the countries with in the largest number of think tanks (215 organizations), second only to the UK in Europe (with 321 organizations).

According to the study, Russia ranks 7th among the countries with in the largest number of think tanks (215 organizations), second only to the UK in Europe (with 321 organizations).
This year there is a new rating category, in which the authors of the study rank the best, in their opinion, analytical reports prepared by think tanks in 2019. RIAC’s Global Forecast 2019–2024, report by IMEMO RAS and RAS Institute of Europe “European Parliament Elections 2019: National Responses to the Dilemmas of European Integration”, as well as the monograph prepared by MGIMO of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs “Prospects for Economic Globalization” were among the best reports from Russia.
RIAC has traditionally been recognized in six categories: Top Think Tanks in Central and Eastern Europe, Top Defense and National Security Think Tanks, Top Foreign Policy and International Affairs Think Tanks, Best Independent Think Tank, Think Tank to Watch in 2020, Best Institutional Collaboration Involving Two or More Think Tanks.
