On October 17, 2014, a group of RIAC members and experts met Indian Ambassador in Russia P.S. Raghavan and several senior diplomats from the Indian Embassy. The session was attended by RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, Dean of World Politics Department of Moscow State University Andrey Kokoshin, Director of Carnegie Moscow Center Dmitry Trenin, Ambassador Gleb Ivashentsev, and Vladimir Sotnikov, Senior Research Fellow of International Security Center at RAS Institute of World Economy and International Relations and Middle and Near East Department at RAS Institute for Oriental Studies.

The participants discussed evolution of global politics in the context of Ukraine crisis, security and development in Asia and the Indian Ocean area, current and future Russian-Indian relations, Middle East and East Asia, and also tentatively agreed to set up a mechanism for dialogue between Russian and Indian think tanks.
