On October 16, 2014, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov met Astra Kurme, Latvian Ambassador to Moscow, and Reinis Brusbardis, Third Secretary to discuss issues related to Latvia's EU presidency in the first half of 2015, possible ways to overcome the crisis in relations between Moscow and Brussels, and improving the efficiency of Russian-Latvian cooperation. The sides also reached a preliminary agreement to organize joint events.
