On March 1, 2022, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), together with the International Institute for the Development of Scientific Cooperation (MIRNaS), will organize the round table “Views of Russia and Turkey on the Current Situation in Central Asia”. The goal of the meeting is to discuss the positions of Russia and Turkey on key issues on the regional agenda. In the framework of the round table, experts will discuss the approaches of Russia and Turkey to security and development in Central Asia, the impact of the situation in Afghanistan on the region, as well as the regional consequences of the January events in Kazakhstan.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Andrey Kortunov, Director General at the RIAC, and Yasar Yakysh, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.
