Iran’s development practices under sanctions may be of great help to Russia, although it is not only the confrontation with the United States and the European Union that bring Russia and Iran together. One more common ground comes from the rise of the Islamic State and Afghanistan destabilization after the withdrawal of coalition forces.
The bilateral economic cooperation is also insufficient, with falling trade figures testifying this trend. Realization of the trading and investment potential would require fresh impetuses in technology and energy, as well as more action on the part of the business community.
The Conference will take place at 10 a.m. in Marriott Grand Hotel at 26/1 Tverskaya St., Moscow
The media representatives are invited to the opening ceremony to be attended by:
- Igor S. IVANOV, RIAC President, RAS Associate Member
- Sergey A. RYABKOV, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister (TBD)
- Hadi SOLEIMANPOUR, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister
- Mehdi SANAI, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation
