The round table was attended by Aleksander Graf Lambsdorff, Vice-President of European Parliament, Hubert Knirsch, Head of the Political department of the German Embassy in Moscow, Vladislav Belov, Deputy Director of RAS Institute of Europe, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, Vitaly Milonov, Member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Friedrich Schmidt, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung correspondent, Ekaterina Timoshenkova, Center for German Studies, RAS Institute of Europe, Irina Skupova, Director of Programs of Russian Foundation for Free Elections, Andrey Nechaev, chairman of the party Grazhdanskaya Initsiativa, Russia's Minister of Economy in 1992-1993.
The discussion was focused on potential risks connected with Russia being accused of involvement in Germany's political process as well as possible shifts in Russia-Germany relations should the ruling coalition in Berlin change.
