On December 13, 2019, Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA), Helsinki, hosted a seminar on new security challenges and hybrid threats: approaches in Russia and the EU. The seminar was organized jointly by Russian International Affairs Council, Delegation of the EU to Russia, and the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA).
On December 13, 2019, Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA), Helsinki, hosted a seminar on new security challenges and hybrid threats: approaches in Russia and the EU. The seminar was organized jointly by Russian International Affairs Council, Delegation of the EU to Russia, and the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA).
The following issues were discussed: different concepts and perceptions related to hybrid threats, the approaches to countering hybrid threats in the EU and Russia, and also how and when the EU and Russia could exchange information about hybrid threats.
The seminar was attended by experts from Russia and the EU, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, and experts from the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats.
