On November 8, 2018, the Russian International Affairs Council, together with OSCE Network of Think Tanks and Academic Institutions, held a seminar “The Road to the Charter of Paris: Historical Narratives and Lessons for the OSCE Today”.
The seminar discussed the report prepared by OSCE Network of Think Tanks and Academic Institutions. Vladimir Baranovsky, Scientific Leader of the Center for Situational Analysis of RAS, Member of the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations Directorate, RIAC Member; Mark Entin, Professor at MGIMO-University; and Andreiy Zagorski, Head of the Department of Disarmament and Conflict Resolution of the Centre for International Security at IMEMO RAS, RIAC Member; provided comments on the report.
RIAC members and experts took part in the discussion. European side was represented by representatives of OSCE Network of Think Tanks and Academic Institutions: Juhana Aunesluoma, Research director, Centre for European Studies at University of Helsinki; Christian Nünlist, Senior Researcher at the Center for Security Studies (CSS) at ETH Zurich; Cornelius Friesendorf, Senior Research Fellow at Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH), and others.
Timur Makhmutov, RIAC Deputy Director of PRograms, made a speech at the opening and closing sessions of the seminar. RIAC was also represented by Natalia Vyakhireva, RIAC Program Manager, and Roman Mayka, RIAC Program Assistant.
