On January 8-12, 2014, Antalya hosted the 3rd Turkish-Russian Intellectuals Meeting devoted to current issues of bilateral relations, security, development and international world order sponsored by the Antalya International University, International Institute of the Development of Science Cooperation and RAS Institute for Oriental Studies.
The event was attended by public figures, experts, politicians and journalists of the two countries, among them RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, Director of RAS Institute for Oriental Studies Vitaly Naumkin, Leokadia Drobizheva, Mikhail Meyer, Benyamin Popov, Eugenia Pyadysheva, Pavel Shlykov and other RIAC experts.

RIAC members and experts also met representatives of Turkish International Strategic Research Organization (USAK) to discuss the preparations for the next April conference with participation of Russian RIAC-affiliated Russian and key Turkish universities.
Dr. Naumkin and Dr. Kortunov spoke to Turkish journalists on Russia’s response the January 7 act of terrorism in Paris.
