On October 16, 2014, RIAC held an event devoted to the situational analysis "Russia and Ukraine: Corridor of Opportunities" opened by RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeev and moderated by Sergey Markedonov, Associate Professor of Department of Regional Studies and Foreign Policy at the Russian State University for the Humanities. The meeting was attended by key experts on Ukraine and Russia's relations with Europe and the United States, who offered their assessments of the domestic situation in Ukraine and possible settlement of the crisis.

"Now that the world is undergoing the largest crisis since the Cold War, it appears critical to fill the gap in quality analysis of the Ukraine crisis," said Dr. Timofeev.
The meeting was attended by key experts on Ukraine and Russia's relations with Europe and the United States, who offered their assessments of the domestic situation in Ukraine and possible settlement of the crisis.
Following the session, RIAC plans to generate the negative, positive and status-quo scenarios for future Ukraine developments.
